I searched and searched for a jewelry organizer I could hang inside my master closet to organize all of my necklaces. I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for, so I made one by reusing this framed cork board I had hanging out in my home office. I covered the cork with a sheet of vinyl from Uppercase Living (this one is actually writable). You could also use a piece of fabric (or even contact paper) and attach with a staple gun. Then, I simply put thumbtacks where I wanted my necklaces to go. (I’m a little Type-A, so I bought a package of clear tacks so they would all match.) You could add bracelets if you had a bigger cork board. This particular cork board measures 23.5 x 27. The best thing about tacks? It makes it easy to move them if I add to my collection. Voilà! A simple way to see all of my jewelry without it ending up in a tangled mess! If you don’t have an old cork board, look for one at a garage sale or thrift store. Here’s to repurposing, DIY and organization!
