Do you have dishes that look somewhat like this? Plates full of scratches from silverware?
We’ve had our dishware since 1996, the year we were married. (I remember registering for these white Pfaltzgraf beauties!). That’s 19 years of silverware scraping on the bottom of the plates! For a long time, I’ve been meaning to figure out how to get rid of the scratches, but just never got around to it. Finally, one day I was loading the dishwasher and couldn’t stand it anymore.
To tackle the problem, there are a couple of quick methods that do the same trick. I happened to have Norwex Cleaning Paste sitting in my cupboard (and remembered my friend telling me about the magic of this product), so I wet a washcloth, dipped it in the paste, and started rubbing it around the plate.
Within several seconds, I could tell it was working! Here is the plate after about a minute of rubbing the scratches out.
So, I ended up rubbing paste over all my plates, then sticking them in the dishwasher. They came out like new!
Another product that I heard works like a charm is Bar Keepers Friend (which I also use for my stainless steel sinks). I don’t sell either product, so this is completely an ad-free recommendation!
Who knew 19-year-old dishes could look new again? Give it a try!
