Easy organizing: Making the best use of closet space

Want a quick 15-minute closet organizing project? Look around your closet, whether it’s a walk-in or standard space. Do you have any under-utilized space? The back of the door to a walk-in closet is prime real estate for adding a little organization and making the best use of every square inch of closet space. For years, I have piled my swimsuits and workout tanks in a drawer in my built-in closet dresser. However, I was easily running out of space and it just looked messy.

To solve the organizing dilemma, I purchased a hanging shoe organizer with clear pockets, like this one. These are perfect for organizing lots of items — not just shoes. I didn’t want to see hooks hanging over the door, so I attached 3M Command Strips to the upper corners of the shoe organizer, then attached it to the back of the door to our closet. Finally, I rolled all of my swim suits {as you can tell, I love swim suits!) and athletic tops and placed them in the pockets. Now, I can see exactly what I have, and I absolutely love how the colors brighten the space!

Happy organizing!
